MANAGER'S NOTES:
Welcome Back - to another great year at Whitewater Country Club. With few events happening this time of year, this will be mostly an informative Newsletter - please read through carefully. As we move closer to Spring, please feel to contact me any time if you have things you would like included in our monthly Newsletters. Here's hoping for warm weather and to see you soon at the Club.
Membership - Our numbers thus far are in line with the last few seasons. Remember our incentive program is still available - if you recruit a full golfing owner-member, you AND that new member BOTH receive 25% off the dues portion of your membership for one year. We have already had one new member, Claudia Huettl who is the sister of owner-member Kathleen Watts. Welcome Claudia!... Members are also reminded that you must have your dues paid by the Annual meeting (April 25th). Friday Night Dining - We are open THIS FRIDAY (Feb 19) for regular dining. Next week we are not but starting in March we will be open EVERY Friday from 5 to 9pm for dining. Menus are always posted throughout the Clubhouse and are posted on the main page of the website every Tuesday afternoon. We encourage you to come out and please bring guests. Even if your guests may not be golfers, we have inexpensive Social Memberships if they enjoy our dining experience.
Sunday Breakfast Special - For the remainder of February and all of March, the Board has approved an open guest (no membership of any type required) policy for all Sunday Breakfasts. In addition $1 of every breakfast served from now until the end of March will be paid to the Whitewater Food Pantry. So please encourage anyone you know to give us a try on Sundays from 8 AM to 11:30 AM. Have a great breakfast and help us support a great cause! *Remember the 1st Sunday of every month is our Buffet*
Board Positions - Dennis Wagie and Chris Turner are completing their third year on the Board and their positions are therefore open. A nominating committee is being put together but you may also contact any Board member if you are interested in running in April. Thanks to Dennis and Chris for all their hard work over the past 3 years!
Free Golf Fridays - Last year we implemented a couple weeks where golf was free for your guests if you purchased a meal before/after. The Board has decided to alter that slightly and simplify it as well. This Summer will start Free-Golf-Fridays. The FIRST Friday of every month (May-Sept) will allow you to bring as many guests as you like (playing as many holes as you like) as long as they stay Friday night and enjoy dinner with us. I will remind you again as we get closer and it will also be on the Calendars...

Men's League Participants - New men's league directors Dan Navarre, Marty Heberling and Bill Watts have submitted the information below. I have also attached the League Sign-up Sheet in the initial email of this Newsletter:
The Early Men’s League (tee times Wednesday 10am through 2pm) is looking for new members. To continue the league we need to field at least 20 golfers. League membership is now open to ANY type of specialty member as well as owner members - so long as the golfer establishes a handicap within the first few weeks of the season. Play is ‘match play’ with points awarded to the golfer’s team for each hole won or tied. Handicaps and weekly hole prizes provide friendly competition for both old pros and new golfers.
Please take a look at the sign-up sheet and consider joining the league. Contact the league administrators with any question.

SUNDAY, APRIL 25th, 2010 ANNUAL MEETING DATE
- Mark your calendars now. On this date we have a full day planned and hope you can spend it with us. We will start the day with a great breakfast buffet from 8 AM to 11:30 AM. We will be holding the Kick-Off Scramble with registration starting at 10:30 and tee-off at 11 AM. It is a fun 9-hole event open to all membership types. Regina will coordinating this event and more details as well as a sign-up will be posted in the Clubhouse in March. The annual meeting will be held at 2 PM in the dining room including the vote tabulation for the 2 Board of Director open positions. Lastly, the Board will proudly present Mark Lockhart ("Sparky") and have an informal "open house" with him where people can meet, greet and ask any questions they may have. We look forward to a great turnout.
